About Personalloaner

How we get paid: if you apply through the link above, a lending partner may send us a referral fee. It never changes the rate you are offered or what we publish. We are not a lender and we do not process applications. The lowest rates are only available to the most qualified applicants. Full disclosure.

Personalloaner publishes personal-loan education for readers in the United States. The site has three parts: calculators that run in the browser, guides written in plain language, and a reference layer of state lending rules with a source attached to every figure.

We do not lend, we do not broker loans, and we do not offer credit repair. No application is accepted here, no credit decision is made here, and no credit file is pulled. When a number cannot be traced to a primary source, we send you to the source and ask you to confirm the current figure instead of inventing one.

The Personalloaner Editorial Team produces everything on the site and checks it against primary material — publications from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Reserve, the FDIC and the NCUA, among others.
